Jinnah Medical and Dental College admitted its first batch of MBBS students in 1998 and its first batch of BDS students in 1999. Our first batch of doctors and dentists graduated in June 2003. Our first batch of Pharmacy students started in January 2004 and will graduate with Doctor of Pharmacy degrees in December 2008.

The College is affiliated with the University of Karachi and recognized by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council. Jinnah Medical and Dental College is listed in the WHO Directory of Medical Colleges. Graduates from JMDC are eligible to sit for foreign qualifying examinations such as USMLE (ECFMG).

To date, JMDC students have earned a total of 479 distinctions in MBBS subjects and 283 distinctions in BDS subjects on the Professional Examinations conducted by the University of Karachi. Students earn distinction in a subject when they score 75% or higher marks in the aggregate of a subject.
